In a recent meeting of the Carrollton Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works, several ongoing projects were presented to the board.

Carrollton Municipal Utilities Superintendent Clint Mathis gave a report to the board on various items in progress or completed.

At the power plant, general maintenance continues. Cleaning at the plant and removing conduit from old engines is ongoing according to Mathis.

At the water plant, crews changed the heater at the ground storage pump and worked on the lime machine. According to Mathis the pump needs to be replaced at a cost of $55,000 as it has continually been repaired.

At the distribution plant, crews poured concrete at the CC substation. The pad is four feet thick and 19 by 13 feet in size. It will support a 96,000 pound transformer.
