A Marshall woman has been charged with two felonies in Saline County.
According to a probable cause statement, Michele Gross was pulled over after a MULES/NCIC by a Marshall Police Officer for driving with a suspended license on August 11, 2022.
Gross stated to authorities that she had come from her brother’s house, while Gross’ daughter in the vehicle stated to police that they had come from their home.
Due to stories not matching the officer asked for consent to search the vehicle which she did not consent to. A K9 was deployed on the scene. The K9 proceeded to have breathing changes around the door and door seam of the vehicle.
A probable cause search was made of the vehicle. While conducting the search a digital scale, marijuana grinder, wooden marijuana smoking device, glass smoking device and a baggie allegedly containing psilocybin mushrooms was found. The glass smoking device was tested and found to be positive for methamphetamine.
Gross was charged with two felonies for possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while revoked.
A warrant was served on Monday, November 7, 2022. Bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety with 10 percent allowed. Gross posted 10 percent bond on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
Gross has an initial appearance schedule for 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Saline County Circuit Court.
