The Sedalia City Council approved the general election date for city officials during its meeting on Monday, November 7, 2022.

According to City Administrator Kelvin Shaw, there will be council members from each of the four wards and an additional council member from ward three on the ballot.

The council approved April 4, 2023 as the date for the election.

In other news from the meeting, the council discussed the appointment of Bob Hiller to a vacancy in ward three. The vacancy was created when Councilman Lucas Richardson moved out of the ward.

The council approved the appointment.
