Two Sedalia men were arrested for felonies in Saline County on Sunday, November 13, 2022.

According to a probable cause statement, a Missouri State Trooper initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Michael Waddle for cutting off another vehicle on Highway 65. The trooper identified Waddle and 24-year-old passenger Melvin Osburn.

While seated in the patrol vehicle the trooper detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from Waddle.

While searching the vehicle the trooper discovered an AR-15 styled rifle, two 9 millimeter pistols, three medium sized baggies of suspected synthetic marijuana, three small sized baggies of suspected synthetic marijuana, numerous methamphetamine pipes, three digital scales, approximately 300-400 baggies varying in size and two notebooks allegedly containing transactions for the sale of controlled substances.

Waddle was charged with felonies for delivery of a controlled subtance and unlawful use of a weapon as well as two misdemeanors. Osburn was charged with felonies for unlawful possession of a firearm, delivery of 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid and a misdemeanor.

Bond for both men was set at $10,000 cash only.

Both men have a confined docket hearing scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2022; and a preliminary hearing scheduled for Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Saline County Circuit Court.
