
Missouri non-farm payroll increased by 4,600 jobs in October. According to a press release, private industry employment increased by 3,500 jobs and government employment increased by 1,100 jobs.
The state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose two-tenths of a percent, from 2.4 percent in September to 2.6 percent in October.
Over the year there was an increase of 72,400 jobs from October 2021 to October 2022, and the unemployment rate dropped from 4 percent in October 2021 to 2.6 percent in October 2022.
