The Sedalia City Council approved a budget amendment to the 2022-23 annual budget during a recent meeting, to extend a sewer main under Highway 65 in Sedalia.

According to City Administrator Kelvin Shaw, a new business and a potential new business, will need the improvement completed before they can begin doing business.

The total cost of the project is $290,000, with the businesses offsetting $75,000 of the cost of the project.
