Donald K. Knipmeyer, 71, of Sweet Springs, MO, died Monday, December 12, 2022, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs with Pastor Alan Mueller officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church.  The family request no flowers and memorials be made to family choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.  An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born February 9, 1951, in Higginsville, MO, he was the son of the late Robert E. Knipmeyer and Nadine Pinkepank Knipmeyer.  Donald lived in the Sweet Springs area most of his life and was a 1969 graduate of Sweet Springs High School.  Donald served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1972. On April 10, 1976, he married Patricia A. Jacobs who preceded him in death on January 17, 1992.  His career was spent with Panhandle Eastern Pipeline until his retirement after being there for over 40 years.  He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex and American Legion Post 279.

Survivors include two children, Leigh Hartley (David) and Jacob Knipmeyer (Nikki), all of Sweet Springs; three grandchildren: Quinn and Carli Jones, and Braden Knipmeyer; one brother, Jerry Knipmeyer (Kay) of Sweet Springs; one sister, Mary Jenkins (Bill) of Chattanooga, TN; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
