
The Missouri Highway Patrol has announced that 19 new Highway Patrol Officers will graduate from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy on December 22, 2022. The ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. in the Academy Gymnasium at 1510 East Elm Street in Jefferson City. The 115th Recruit Class reported to the Academy on July 5, 2022. The new troopers will report to their assigned troops on January 9, 2023.
Four class awards will be presented during the graduation ceremony. The recruits accumulate points toward graduation in the categories of physical fitness, firearms and academics throughout their 25 weeks at the Academy. The person with the highest number of points in each category will earn the respective award.
Troopers assigned in the KMMO listening area include Alexander Hunolt of Rutledge, who will be assigned to Troop A, Zone 5 in Ray and Carroll Counties, Colten O’Hara of Pierce City, will be assigned to Troop A, Zone 9 in Lafayette County. In Troop B, Zone 3, Jorden Billings of Bowling Green, will be assigned to Linn and Chariton Counties and Carter Munch of Hannibal will also be assigned to Troop B, Zone 3 in Linn and Chariton Counties.
