The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works considered a proposal to replace the filter media in three filters during its meeting on Friday, December 16.

The proposal is a part of the board’s filter media project. The budget for the project is $195,000 Water Treatment Director Travis Boss recommended the board approve the proposal from C and C Environmental Services.

The board approved the proposal in the amount of $87,950.

In other news from the meeting, the board approved the purchase of a new two-and-a half ton dump truck from Rush Truck Center in the amount of $147,480. The board reported that dump truck 224 had its frame bent while dumping rock at the water treatment plant. Delivery time for the new truck is 12 months.
