Slater School District Superintendent Terry Lorenz reported the updated insurance rate for the district at the Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, December 20.

Lorenz reported there will be a 5.5 percent increase.

In other news from the meeting, several Slater seniors gave a presentation about the senior trip. The class will be going to Clearwater Beach in Orlando, Florida.

Also, attendance at Slater Schools was reportedly lower in recent weeks due to illness, but Lorenz said the district was starting to rebound going into winter break.
