The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works discussed bids for a new truck for the Electric Distribution department.

Doug Root said the board had placed an order on a truck nearly two years ago, but found out that they weren’t going to receive it.

Bids for a new 1-ton cab and chassis were opened on December 27, and two were received. Root recommended the board accept the $55,020 bid from Elmer Hare Ford Sales.

The bid came in well under the $70,000 budget. The board accepted the bid.
