Darlene Clark, 88, of Marshall, formerly of Slater, died Sunday, January 1, 2023 at her home.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Church of the Nazarene in Marshall, with Rev. Clark Armstrong officiating.  Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.  Visitation will be Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the church.  Memorials are suggested to the Church of the Nazarene, American Heart Association, or American Cancer Society in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.

Born December 15, 1934 in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Lydia Berger Johnson.  On February 10, 1952 in Slater, she married Harold Clark, Jr., and he survives of the home.

Also surviving are two sons, Thomas Clark and Josh Clark, both of Marshall; a daughter, Cheryl Clark of Marshall; eight grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Bryson; a sister, Mae Nugen; and a granddaughter, Elaine Clark.

Mrs. Clark was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Marshall, and worked for many years in home health care and did extensive babysitting.  She received an award from the State of Missouri for being the #1 Health Care Worker in the state.
