Missouri State Senator Denny Hoskins will continue to lead the Missouri Senate Economic Development and Tax Policy Committee, having been reappointed chairman for the 102nd General Assembly. Hoskins will also serve as a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, the Insurance and Banking Committee and the Committee on Education and Workforce Development.

The Economic Development Committee considers legislation relating to the promotion of Missouri’s economy, the creation and retention of jobs, community and business development and tourism. This year, the committee’s responsibilities have expanded to include revenue and public debt of the state and the assessment of real and personal property. Senator Hoskins has chaired the committee since 2020.

A certified public accountant, Sen. Hoskins also has been reappointed to the Senate Appropriations Committee, which has responsibility for producing the Senate’s version of Missouri’s operating budget, as well as the Insurance and Banking Committee. The Education and Workforce Development Committee, which Sen. Hoskins joins this term, has expanded to address the increased importance of job training and career development to Missouri’s economy.
