Sandi Jean Petitt, 65, of Marshall, MO, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at The Living Center in Marshall.

Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2023, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel with William W. Harlow officiating.  Memorials are suggested to the charity of donor’s choice and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born May 10, 1957, in Belton, MO, she was the daughter of the late John Billie Short and Peggy Lou Hartman Short.  Sandi lived in Saline County her entire life, was a 1976 graduate of Sweet Springs High School and worked at Marshall Habilitation Center.  On September 3, 1993, she married James Petitt who survives of the home.  Sandi loved to paint pictures, paint furniture, and did the workshop Christmas decorations painting at the Habilitation Center.  She also had a passion about caring for others and had an enormous love for her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, James; she is survived by one daughter, Tayler Miller (Justin) of Pilot Grove; two grandchildren, Rylee Jean Miller and Rueger Wesley Miller; one brother, John Short (Stephanie) of Columbia; two sisters, Joanne Darrow (Dallas) of Smithville and Paula Staples (Doug) of Sweet Springs; as well several nieces and nephews.
