The Marshall City Council appointed Phil Perkins to a vacant Ward Two council member seat during its meeting on Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

Perkins would complete the term of former council member Tim Reeder who resigned in December 2022.

Perkins was appointed by unanimous vote and was sworn in on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

In other news from the meeting, the council approved hay harvesting bids for the Marshall Airport and Marshall Habilitation Center. Joshua Crank was approved to do the harvesting at both locations for 2023-2024. The Marshall Airport bid is $12,002.00, while the Marshall Habilitation Center is $6,802.00. Both are two year bids.
