The Marshall Public Schools Board of Education approved the purchase of the Great Circle Property during its meeting on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.

The district will be moving out of the Hoot House, Tudor House and relocating Central Office staff.  Board President Bryon Jacques gave details on the plans for Marshall Public Schools.

The cost of the property will be $1,000,000 and the district and Great Circle have agreed to terms on a contract with a projected closing date of March 1, 2023.

In other news from the meeting, the board discussed staggered start times for Marshall Public Schools. Superintendent Caleb Petet discussed some of the reasons for the discussed changes.

The changes would also help separate high school students and elementary students as well as alleviate certain traffic congestion issues within the City of Marshall.
