Missouri Valley College has announced Dr. Joe Alsobrook as Vice President for Strategic Initiatives and Online Operations according to a release from the college.

Alsobrook started the new position on January, 17, 2023 and has experience and expertise as a professor, department chair, dean of academic programs and dean of online operations at Lindenwood University.

President-elect Dr. Joe Parisi crafted the new role as a result of recent retirements and reallocation of funds. Alsobrook will focus on online degree programming.

Alsobrook lead the online programs at Lindenwood, which grew exponentially and had several programs ranked nationally. As dean, his School of Fine Arts and Performing Arts was recognized among the top five schools in the country. Alsobrook additionally worked with artists, agents and production teams to produce many professional events including concerts by Willie Nelson, Tony Bennett, Lee Brice and Amy Grant.

Alsobrook has over 30 years of teaching and serving as chair of doctoral student dissertation committees.
