State Fair Community College (SFCC) will offer a twelve week, hybrid format, Foundations of Education in a Diverse Society course beginning Wednesday, February 1, 2023. The course is for individuals seeking a substitute teacher certification from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The three-hour course will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m to 10:50 a.m. on campus in addition to online class work. In-district tuition is $121 per credit hour and tuition for Missouri residents is $183 per credit hour.

Successful completion of English Composition I is a prerequisite to enroll in the course. Individuals who have not completed the course can take the College-Level Program test which is offered at SFCC’s Training Center on campus.

Al students are welcome to take the course if they would like to become a substitute teacher regardless of area of study. Individuals who have not applied for admission to SFCC will need to complete the free application located at www.sfccmo.edu/apply.
