Martha Ann Younce, 83, of Concordia, MO, died Monday, January 30, 2023, at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Concordia Baptist Church with Dale Pollard officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.  Memorials are suggested to Concordia Baptist Church and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born January 24, 1940, in Concordia, MO, she was the daughter of the late August Henry Meyer and Mildred Gieseke Meyer.  Martha lived in Concordia most of her life, where she attended school, and then graduated as an L.P.N. through the nursing school at State Fair Community College.  On March 1, 1958, she married Hollie Younce who preceded her in death on January 24, 1996.  Martha’s life was always spent helping others.  She worked as an L.P.N. at residential care facilities and nursing homes, including working at The Lutheran Nursing Home for 30 years.  She was a very active member of Concordia Baptist Church, as well as the Concordia community.

Survivors include four children: Emma Huff (Ron) of Adrian, Katherine Mueller (David) of Concordia, Ruby Brandt of Concordia and Evelyn Kilgore (Dale) of Harrisonville, 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; three siblings: Helen Meyer of Higginsville, David Meyer (Rena) of Concordia and Karen Meyer of Higginsville; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents and husband; one daughter, Amy Thomas; one son, Forrest Younce; a son-in-law, Wayne Brandt; four grandchildren: Mariah Sisco, Dusty Brandt, Angie Pryor and Brylon Bressman; and three siblings: Barbara Jean “Bobbie” Skidmore, Rose Livengood and Roger Meyer.
