Marshall Police Chief Mike Donnell gave an update on grants received during the past year for upgrades on radios and laptops for the Marshall Police Department (MPD) during the Marshall City Council meeting on Monday, February 6, 2023.

According to Chief Donnell, MPD received $90,000 for the upgrades.

The cost for radios that can communicate with state and federal agencies is $8,000.

Chief Donnell stated to the council the department had applied for $70,000 in grant funding for the coming year and the cost get radios to specifications required is approximately $280,000.
