The Slater City Council added a third provision to the city’s marijuana ordinance during its meeting on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

The council has previously made updates to its marijuana ordinance to comply with the state statute. The council approved a third provision to the ordinance.

In other news from the meeting, the council approved a motion to continue its sewer lining project. City Administrator Gene Griffith said the program has done about 30,000 feet of linear sewer in the city.

The project is expected to be completed in five years, but Griffith said it could take longer with the price increases that are occurring.
