State Fair Community College (SFCC) is offering an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Surgical Technology beginning August, 21, 2023. The degree can be earned in twelve months and will be delivered in online and on-ground formats. The curriculum includes laboratory hours on the SFCC campus, clinical hours at an assigned site and virtual reality tools to enhance the learning process. Applications are due by May 1, 2023.

Graduates of the program will be trained to deliver patient care expected of an entry level surgical technologist and to perform as a contributing member of a surgical team. The training includes skills needed for preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative patient care.

Prospective students must complete an admission application to SFCC and application to the Surgical Technology program.
