
Virginia Irene “Doll” Campbell, 78, of Miami, MO, died Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2023, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with Rev. Regina Hix officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born November 17, 1944, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Loyal Jack Grandstaff and Elsie Matsler Grandstaff. On June 23, 1966, she married Burl F. Campbell who preceded her in death on March 4, 2011. Doll lived in Saline County most of her life and dedicated her life to caring for her family.
Survivors include three daughters: Elsie Martens (Richard) of Miami, Elaine Campbell of Miami, and Margaret Blakely (Chris) of Marshall; one son, Burl Campbell (Rose) of Leeton; a bonus son, Micheal Hirt of Miami; 21 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four brothers: Troy Grandstaff of Wichita, KS, Bob Grandstaff of Napton, Charlie Grandstaff of Miami and Carl Grandstaff of Hoisington, KS; two sisters, Opal Harrison of rural Marshall and Melvina McGlocklin of Napton; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; four brothers and four sisters.
