The Sedalia City Council approved a change in the requirements for an administrative search warrant for non-compliance with city property maintenance code during a recent meeting.

The city previously had to serve notice and talk to the property owner about a nuisance on the property and get an abatement to remove items.

City Administrator Kelvin Shaw stated that the ordinance removes the need for notification to the property owner.

In another ordinance discussed by the council, the purchase of dual band radios for the Sedalia Police Department was approved from Motorola Solutions at a cost of $12,319.66.
