The Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen approved a motion relating to the Gravel Grinder bike race during its meeting on Monday, February 13.

Grant and Tracey Bernard were present at the meeting to discuss the race with the board. The Gravel Grinder bike race is scheduled to be held on July 15, 2023. The main entrance to the park will be closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the race. The board then approved a motion to block part of the park entrance to the split and Gusher Street exit so that people could still use the north side of the park and turn around at the Boy Scout cabin. The motion passed with a unanimous vote.

In other news from the meeting, the board appointed Taryn Lee, Jenny Trautman, and Danielle Livengood to the Library Board.
