The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works accepted bids for a new truck and skid steer during its meeting on Thursday, February 26.

Both vehicles will be used by the electric distribution department. Electric distribution director Doug Root said the board had to re-bid for the truck because the dealer cancelled the order.

The board accepted a $52,287 bid for a 2023 Chevrolet 3500, and a $62,563.46 bid for a new SK800 mini skid steer with trailer and attachments. Both bids came in under budget. The bid for the new truck is pending availability.

In other news, the board approved a motion to request bids for two new waste aeration blowers, including installation. The budget for that project is $60,000.
