Ronald Dean Mabrey, 67, of Marshall, MO, died Monday, February 13, 2023, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Old Lamine Cemetery in Cooper County, MO, Memorials are suggested to family choice. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com  

Born June 15, 1955, in Fort Hood, TX, he was the son of the late Charles (Hank) Mabrey and Bernice M. Fiene Mabrey. The family lived in several states throughout his youth and he fondly remembered his times “out west”.  He loved to cook for his family and he spent many years as the kitchen manager at Bueker Middle School.  He proudly served the students and teachers of Marshall Public Schools for 30 years.

Survivors include two sons: Matthew Mabrey and girlfriend Rachel of Marshall and Morgan Mabrey of Kansas City, MO; one daughter, Stacy Smith of Mission, KS; one granddaughter, Paige Sorto of Marshall; four siblings: Mary Seymour, Roger Mabrey, Kay Mabrey and Mike Mabrey, all of Marshall; as well as many nieces and nephews who knew him as “Uncle Ronnie”.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles (Chuck) Mabrey.
