The Sedalia Police Department is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of an assault suspect.

According to a release from the department, officers responded to the 400 block of North Hurley in response to an assault. A victim had been struck in the throat by an unknown male. The suspect has been described as a white male in a newer black vehicle.

Individuals with any information on the assault or identity of the suspect are urged to contact Detective Pappert at 660-827-7823 extension 1250.

Information leading to the arrest of the suspect could result in a $2,000 reward.

Anyone providing tips can remain anonymous and still receive the reward.
