Wilbert Hildebrand, 83, of Warsaw, MO, formerly of Concordia, died Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation in Warsaw.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Concordia with Pastor Carl Wendorff officiating.  Inurnment will follow in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery at Ernestville.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to Faith Lutheran Church and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born Septembe 4, 1939, in Lafayette County, MO, he was the son of the late Clarence H. Hildebrand and Frieda M. Brunkhorst Hildebrand.  On December 3, 1966, he married Joyce E. Hein who preceded him in death on June 25, 2021.  Wilbert lived in the Lafayette County area for many years, prior to moving to Warsaw.  His career was spent as a farmer and then working for the Concordia Coop.  He and Joyce also owned Hildebrand Framing in Concordia and then in Warsaw after they moved.  Wilbert was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church while in Concordia and then at Faith Lutheran Church after moving to Warsaw.

Survivors include three siblings: Alice Hildebrand of Concordia, Margie Popenhagen of Cedar Rapids, IA and Stephen Hildebrand of Grand Junction, CO; as well as nieces, nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two sisters, Melba Hildebrand and Helen Samuels.
