The Bothwell Regional Health Center Board of Trustees has four new members. The Sedalia City Council approved two new members to fill uncompleted terms and expanded the board from seven to nine members in December 2022.
Dr. Gregory Doak, a retired Bothwell physician and former Sedalia Mayor John Kehde were appointed to complete the terms of Stafford Swearingen and Arwilda Poole, who resigned in December.
New members are Jo Lynn Turley, Legislative and Community program manager at State Fair Community College (SFCC) and Dr. Michael Murders, Academic and Student Success vice president at SFCC.
Dr. Doak served on the Bothwell medical team from 1988 until his retirement in 2022.
Former Mayor Kehde served on the board from 2018 to 2022 after the Mayor and City Administrator positions were added as board seats.
Turley represented the first ward on the Sedalia City Council from 2012 to 2019 and has also been a member of the Sedalia Park Board.
Dr. Murders, while new to the community brings a deep background in healthcare education to the board.
