The Concordia Board of Aldermen approved a motion to accept bids for a six-year rental of about 35 acres of crop ground, during its meeting on Tuesday, February 21.
The farm ground is adjacent to the North Sewerage Treatment Lagoon in Concordia. City Administrator Dale Klussman says the board accepts bids to rent out this land every six years.
The rental includes a provision for seven acres of ground prone to flooding only if a crop is raised. The proposed bids are due by 3 p.m. March 29.
