Sedalia Police Officers were dispatched to the area of the 1500 block of West Third Street at 3:14 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023 for a subject in crisis.

After arriving, officers located a deceased subject. The subject appeared deceased due to an alleged self inflicted wound.

The Pettis County Ambulance District was notified along with the assistant Pettis County Coroner who confirmed the subject was deceased. The scene was processed by authorities and the subject was taken to Rea Funeral Home.

At the time of the Sedalia Police report, the next of kin had not been located.
