The Marshall Public Schools Board of Education approved remodeling, painting and flooring bids for the early childhood wing at the Butterfield building during its meeting on Monday, February 27, 2023.

Poppy’s Remodeling and Construction was chosen for remodeling of the wing, Toliver Painting and Refinishing was chosen for painting work and The Floor Guys was chosen for new flooring in the wing.

In other news from the meeting the board approved staggered start times for the 2023-2024 school year. Elementary Schools will be in session from 7:40 a.m. to 3 p.m,, Bueker Middle School will be in session from 7:45 a.m. to 3:05 p.m. and Marshall High School will be in session from 7:50 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. The staggered times are to help alleviate student wait times for bus service. The board also approved a 160 day calendar for Marshall Public Schools and set High School graduation for May 12, 2024.
