Janetta Ann “Jenny” Smith, 53, of Sweet Springs, MO, died Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Sweet Springs Villa.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Sweet Springs Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tommy Mapes officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.  Memorials are suggested to Sweet Springs Athletic Department and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born October 18, 1969, in Warrensburg, MO, she was the daughter of the late Jimmy Dean Smith and Grachia Ann Riesterer Smith.  Janetta lived in Sweet Springs all of her life and was a 1988 graduate of Sweet Springs High School.  She then attended Missouri Valley College in Marshall and graduated from Vatterott College in Kansas City.   Janetta worked as a developmental assistant at Higginsville Habilitation Center for 10 years as well as helping care for her mom.  She attended the Assembly of God Church in Sweet Springs.

Survivors include two siblings, Timothy Dean Smith (Debbie) of Sweet Springs and Chrislyn Kay Smith of Blue Springs; as well as three step-nieces: Nicole Schmidt, Cymantha Wienberg and Ashley Pearson.
