Norma Jean Case, 73, of Marshall, MO, died Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO.

Graveside services will be held at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Malta Bend Cemetery, with Pastor Ralph Varner officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the Foster Grandparent Program in Marshall. Born November 29, 1949, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Tyrus Raymond Cobb and Nellie Mae Miles Cobb.  She was a graduate of Slater High School and was a lifelong resident of Saline County.  On May 20, 1967, she married James Russell “J.R.” Case Sr. who preceded her in death on January 7, 2011. She was a member of Malta Bend United Methodist Church and her family was her life.

Survivors include four sons, James Jr. Case (Paula), Charley Case (Robin), Larry Case (Rachel) and Gary Case (Bobbie) all of Marshall; 11 grandchildren, Ashlee, Jessica, Rose, Joey, David, Tony, Stormy, Abby, Lauren, Jasper and Lindsey; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond Cobb of Gilliam, MO and Bobby Cobb (Terry) of Marshall; one sister, Mae Muse of Slater, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Nease.
