Several area high school basketball programs are competing in the quarterfinal round of the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Tournament.

In boys basketball, the Class 1 District 10 Champion Glasgow Yellowjackets advanced with a 59-56 win over Leeton. They’ll face Atlanta at 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 3.

The Class 2 District 7 Champion Salisbury Panthers took down Lincoln in Sectionals 52-45. They take on Clopton at 6:15 p.m. Friday, March 3.

The Class 3 District 8 Champion Cole Camp Bluebirds defeated North Callaway 54-51 in triple-overtime. They now face Lutheran North at 8 p.m. Friday, March 3.

Also, the Class 3 District 14 Champion Lafayette County Huskers took down Lone Jack 56-42 in Sectionals they face St. Pius X at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

In girls basketball, the Class 1 District 13 Champion Santa Fe Lady Chiefs advanced with a 47-43 win over Mercer. They are scheduled to play again at 12 p.m. Saturday, March 4 against Jefferson/South Nodaway.

The Class 1 District 8 Champion Leeton Lady Bulldogs also advanced with a 48-23 win over Hume. They now face Macks Creek at 12 p.m. Saturday, March 4.
