The Slater City Council discussed several events that will be held in city limits during its meeting in Tuesday, March 7.

The council reminded citizens of the City Wide Garage Sale on May 6. Slater Mayor Stephen Allegri discussed some of the other events citizens can look forward to.

The Slater Wine Festival is scheduled for May 20, the Steve McQueen Car is set for June 17, and the Slater Fall Festival is scheduled to begin on October 19. All of the events are weather permitting.

In other news, monthly siren tests will resume in Slater and the surrounding area beginning in April through October. The tests should be the second Wednesday of each month, weather permitting.
