The Sedalia City Council approved an ordinance authorizing a grant application for DWI Enforcement during its meeting on Monday, March 6, 2023.

The Sedalia Police Department typically applies each year for the grant and the grant is for overtime pay and special operations.

City Administrator Kelvin Shaw stated the grant this year would also be allowed to be used to purchase a vehicle for enforcement.

The grant would be for $61,795.00.
