A Marshall man involved in a one-vehicle accident in Saline County on Monday, March 13, 2023 has died.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by Jessy Smith traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned. Smith was ejected and the vehicle came to rest on the passenger side.

Smith was transported by Life flight to University Hospital with serious injuries and pronounced deceased at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14.

The accident occurred at 6:10 p.m. on Highway 20 near Green Avenue in Saline County.
