The Glasgow School Board approved a $1,625 increase to the base salary which brings it to $38,000 and a $1.00 per hour raise for non-certified staff during it meeting on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

The board approved a quote from Rudy Yutzy for $4,500 to repair a 15 foot by 60 foot portion of the roof over the Multi to prevent a future leak and approved the purchase of a 2023 Z970R mower from Sydenstricker Nobbe Partners in Salisbury. The cost of the mower is $6,500 after trade in.

The board also approved the purchase of 65 new band uniforms during the meeting. The band and choir members, with the help of their parents and teachers have raised nearly $15,000 toward the purchase of the new uniforms.

In other news from the meeting, the board approved continuing to use Missouri Education Health Group to provide district employees health insurance with United Health Care. The district will see a five percent increase in premiums per employee for the 2023-2024 school year.
