
A Marshall man has been charged with a drug-related felony after authorities received a tip regarding drug activity.
According to a probable cause statement, authorities from the Marshall Police Department received an anonymous tip regarding drug activity. Law enforcement officers were advised that William Shawn Davenport was allegedly consuming or selling methamphetamine.
Authorities conducted a traffic stop on a truck driven by Davenport after he failed to use a turn signal. Davenport was reportedly aggressive with authorities. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located a glass pipe with methamphetamine, several baggies with methamphetamine, and two unused syringes.
Court documents say Davenport has been charged with a felony for trafficking drugs in the second degree and a misdemeanor for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond has been set at $15,000 cash only with conditions.
No court date has been set at this time.
