The Higginsville Board of Aldermen approved a maintenance agreement for the City Cemetery during its meeting on Monday, March 20, 2023.

The board approved a bid from Adam Dillon for mowing and weed eating.

City Administrator Jeanette Dobson stated that the mowing bid was $775 per cycle and weed eating was $700 per cycle.

Dobson also stated a public hearing was held on annexation of an area near Hickory Circle.

A 14-day waiting period will be in effect for any public input before the annexation is brought before the board.
