
The Marshall City Council passed a resolution for a disciplinary hearing involving charges against Councilman Drew Green during its meeting on Monday, March 20,2023.
Special counsel Paul Martin gave a list of alleged charges against Green. In the first charge Green allegedly made public statements regarding the city’s contract with RTS Waste Service, LLC., stating that the contract cost was not fixed, that the city council was not transparent in the contract negotiations as well as other issues with RTS.
The second charge involves alleged phone calls and in person contact with the city clerk. Green allegedly made numerous grievances with City Clerk Julie Lewis and in the process had threatened her job.
The third charge involves Green allegedly making public comments that City Administrator J.D. Kehrman engineered the approval of the RTS contract for reasons not related to the best interest of the city and allegedly contacting Marshall Municipal Services in an attempt to discover comprising information on Kehrman.
The final charge involves City Counselor Josh Taylor. Green is alleged to have made public comments that Taylor had represented RTS in a lawsuit and accused Taylor of unethical behavior during the negotiation of the RTS contract. Green also allegedly threatened to file a complaint with the Missouri Bar against Taylor.
The hearing is scheduled for May 24, 2023.
