The Knob Noster Police Department and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office investigated a false swatting call that occurred at Knob Noster High School on Monday, March 27.

The call was received at approximately 11:54 a.m. Authorities responded to the scene, working with school administration to ensure the safety of the students and staff at the school.

The Johnson County 9-1-1 center received a call reporting an alleged armed individual on the high school’s premises. Law enforcement immediately deployed units to establish a security perimeter around the school.

Authorities determined that the call was a false swatting report after a search of the campus. No injuries were reported and no threat was found.
