A Kingsville man was charged with multiple felonies after discharging an AR style rifle on Saturday, March 25, 2023.

According to a probable cause statement, a Johnson County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to a rural Kingsville residence in regards to a domestic disturbance involving a firearm. A victim at the residence stated Hayden Dady had allegedly been drinking and a verbal altercation ensued. During the argument Dady allegedly threw a flashlight, striking the victim in the head and punched the victim multiple times. Dady also allegedly punched another victim at the residence multiple times.

Dady grabbed a .308 AR style rifle and allegedly fired at a third victim in a vehicle outside the residence. Dady then allegedly fired multiple rounds at a residence across the street where several individuals were located. Dady placed the weapon on the ground and proceeded to leave on a motorcycle. Dady was arrested by a Lone Jack Police Officer and taken into custody. Authorities located the rifle at the residence and eighteen spent rounds of .308 caliber ammunition.

Dady was charged with two felonies for discharging a firearm at a vehicle or person, prior offender, and felonies for unlawful use of a weapon and third degree domestic assault.

Bond was set at $100,000 cash only with conditions.

According to court documents, Dady has a counsel status hearing scheduled at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Johnson County Circuit Court.
