A Carrollton man has been charged with a felony for assault after an incident on March 27.

According to the Carrollton Police Department, an officer was dispatched to a residence in Carrollton for a disturbance in progress. The officer discovered Patrick Hall-Taylor on the floor covered in blood after being met with resistance by two individuals at the residence. While trying to detain an individual giving resistance Hall-Taylor allegedly began to assault the officer. Hall-Taylor allegedly struck the officer and tried to tackle him. The officer struck his head on a storm door during the alleged assault and both he and Hall-Taylor ended up on the porch. Hall-Taylor allegedly struck the officer in the face and proceeded to spit blood on him.

Another officer who arrived at the scene observed an abrasion on the officers forehead and a cut inside his lip.

According to court documents, Hall-Taylor was charged with a felony of third degree assault of a special victim.

No bond was allowed.

Hall-Taylor had an inital appearance on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 and has a bond reduction hearing scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Carroll County Circuit Court.
