
Myron Van Bigler Sr., 70, of Marshall, MO, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Fitzgibbon Hospital surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Born April 2, 1952, in Humansville, MO, he was the son of the late James Eldon Bigler Sr. and Velma Toliver Bigler. On August 27, 1978, he married Vickie Lynne Skinner who survives of the home. Myron worked as a developmental assistant at Marshall Habilitation Center for over 30 years when he retired in 2005. He was a United States Army veteran and former Optimist Club member. Myron was a member of Eastside Church of Christ where he served in various capacities. He was an avid fisherman, dabbled in just about everything, never met a stranger, but above all, loved the Lord and loved his family, especially his grandkids.
In addition to his wife, Vickie; he is survived by four children: Melissa Hamblen (Gary) of McAlester, OK, Amanda Collins (Austyn) of McAlester, OK, Myron Bigler Jr. (Marlo) of Marshall and Sherry Onwiler of Grandview; six grandchildren: Rebecca, Sara, Haliey, Isaic, Makena, and Gina; one great-grandson, Aiden Van Holloway; two brothers, Doug Bigler (Cindy) of Pratt, KS and James Bigler of Norborne; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
