Born June 1, 1955, in Lebanon, MO, he was the son of the late Othel Knight Jr. and Joann Denny Hall who survives of the home. He lived in the Springfield area as an infant, moved to Elmwood where they lived for 28 years and then moved to Sweet Springs where he lived the remainder of his life. Gary attended Warrensburg Schools and worked at the Cooperative Sheltered Workshop in Marshall. He loved riding his bike or golf cart to the park to watch the ball games. It took Gary a little longer than what it would some to get there because he had lots of friends that he would stop to visit with along the way. Some of those friends included Bill Harding, Dennis and Dorothy Sipe, as well as John and Wilma Greer. Due to health reasons he had to stop riding his bike. He loved to mow the yard, go fishing, and just earlier this year Gary said he’d “had a good life.” Gary had a strong faith and trust in Jesus and was saved and baptized in the Assembly of God Church in Sweet Springs where he was a member. He will be missed so very much, but the family is comforted knowing that he is at home in Heaven.
In addition to his mother, Joann; he is survived by two brothers, Tim Hall (Debbie) of rural Houstonia and Warren Knight (Teresa) of Lebanon; a special niece, Mya Garrison; three nephews: Jason Hall (Keshia), Ryan Hall (Shelby) and Lucas Hall (Katie Heaton); four great-nieces: Maddison, Kaylee, Jacelyn and Jade; and a man he called Dad while growing up, Floyd Hall of Sweet Springs.
