The Higginsville Board of Aldermen approved a bill authorizing the annexation of unincorporated land into the city during its meeting on Monday, April 3, 2023.

City Administrator Jeanette Dobson stated the annexation involved apartments on Hickory Circle.

In other news from the meeting, the board recognized Kente’ Boldridge for ten years of service to the city. Boldridge is in the water and wastewater department and is also an EMT in the city.
