The Sedalia City Council approved a continuing agreement with the Tipton Correctional Center for a work release program during its meeting on Monday, April 3, 2023.

City Administrator Kelvin Shaw stated the program is for inmates that are close to release from the facility.

Shaw stated the program had been great for the city and provides an opportunity for inmates to transition back to public life.
